The Specs: On Paper

At first glance, it seems like Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel (A) has a significant advantage over Thrustmaster T300 RS GT (B). Both wheels have direct drive and quick release, but the G Pro boasts 11Nm of torque compared to the T300's 3.9Nm. However, compatibility-wise, the T300 only supports PC and PS5, while the G Pro is more versatile with PC/PS5/Xbox support.

The Ugly Truth (Real User Experience)

I've seen users struggle with reliability issues on the Thrustmaster T300 RS GT. Broken wheel bases, faulty quick releases, and overheating are just a few of the common problems that have been reported. Users are reporting that even after sending it back for repairs or replacement, they still encounter the same issues. The big problem here is that Thrustmaster's support can be unresponsive or unhelpful, leaving users frustrated and stuck with a broken product. I've also seen users complaining about the T300's 3.9Nm torque being too low, especially when compared to the G Pro's 11Nm. While it's true that some users have had success with the T300, I think it's suspicious that there are so many reports of reliability issues and overheating. Dealing with a defective product can be a nightmare. Imagine spending hours on the phone with Thrustmaster's support, only to be told that your problem is not with the product itself but with how you're using it (yes, one user was actually told to lower their FFB options in ACC). The pain of dealing with these issues far outweighs any potential cost savings. In contrast, users who have had good experiences with the Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel report a much smoother and more responsive experience. While there are some complaints about the wheel's size and desk clamp, these issues seem relatively minor compared to the T300's problems.

The Verdict

For serious sim racers who can afford it, I'd recommend splurging on the Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel. While it comes with a premium price point, its superior torque and compatibility make it worth the investment. The T300 RS GT may be more budget-friendly, but users are reporting too many reliability issues for my taste. If you're just starting out or on a tight budget, I'd say look elsewhere. There are better options available that won't break the bank and may even offer similar performance to the G Pro at a lower price point.
